Special Olympics Team Arizona preps for USA Games

Dozens of Tucson-area athletes will represent Team Arizona as part of the Special Olympics USA games in Seattle.

The games take place the first week of July. At a special team-building camp in the Mogollon Rim-area of Arizona, apart from prepping for the USA games, athletes also got a special surprise by hearing from Team USA silver-medalist Lyndsey Fry (who was part of the silver-medal-winning women’s hockey team in Sochi in 2014).News 4 Tucson’s Paul Cicala is part of the Special Olympics Support staff, and filed a report from Heber, Arizona on the special athletes weekend.
