This program is FREE and can be implemented in-person or virtually
The 2020 Special Olympics Arizona FREE Health Education Curriculum, Healthy LEAP into Fitness (HLIF) is currently open and is available statewide at three levels: preschool – 2nd grade, 3rd – 8th grade, and high school – community!
HLIF can be implemented in person or virtually. Interested coaches/teachers are required to attend a 1 hour training in order to receive the free curriculum.
HILF is modeled to include health education, class activities and group workouts and is designed to taught in an 8-week format, as a team at practice, in a health promotion or fitness class, or within a community program or a group home.
HLIF focuses on four pillars of health – emotional, nutritional, physical and social that are each comprised of three lessons. Participating coaches/teachers are given a manual with complete health lessons and tools, and every participant receives a play book to take notes, complete activities and set personal goals.
This program is offered completely FREE and can be implemented in-person or virtually.
